Our mission is to support neighborhood-based projects with micro-grants.
We envision this support will lead to an increased belief that people can make a difference through grassroots efforts. we want to support more people Engaging in innovative solutions to improve neighborhoods, more residents working towards collective action, increased economic activity in under-resourced neighborhoods, and more advocates for investment in under-resourced areas.
Applicants are awarded up to $2,500 for neighborhood improvement projects.
PROJECTS/ITEMS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR FUNDING
• Costs incurred before funding is awarded
• General operating costs (if non-profit organization)
• Individual elementary or secondary schools
• Alcoholic beverages, gifts or prizes
• Contributions or donations to other entities
• Fines and penalties
• Lobbying
• Marketing expenses not associated with the project
PROJECT GUIDELINES & REQUIREMENTS
• Projects must take place in Frayser, TN between years 2022-2023
• Grantees may be individual residents, neighborhood associations, or local grassroots organizations
• Describe your project outlining how it addresses a community need, and includes resident input & equity
• Provide a project timeline, describe the project managers, marketing/outreach plans • Present a project budget, including other funding sources
• Recipients will be required to document project activity and provide brief final report
APPLICATION DEADLINE DATES:
Cycle1: Application opens March 1, 2022, and closes May 1, 2022
Cycle2: Application opens August 1, 2022, and closes October 1, 2022
GRANT REVIEW PROCESS:
All applications will go through a review process by a grants review committee and will be evaluated based on Community Need, Resident Input, Project Plan and Budget. Funds will be available to grantees over a one-year period beginning on the date of the agreement. Funds will be provided based on the following pay schedule:
1) A portion of funds will be disbursed upon receipt of signed agreement and any required documents
2) The remaining balance will be disbursed/reimbursed upon completion of a final report
GRANT AWARD NOTIFICATION DATE:
Awards will be announced on May 15, 2022 and October 15, 2022

Application Part 2: Project narrative
In addition to the above form, please provide the following information in narrative form. Application is not complete without a submitted project narrative. Limit to two pages or less.
Mission and History: Summarize your organization’s mission and history. Pay particular attention to how you are involved in community outreach and engagement.
Project Description: Briefly describe your project plans, including the community you wish to reach and any partners you will be working with. Include how you will measure whether the project is successful. Provide a timeline of your marketing/outreach plans.
Equity Efforts: Briefly describe your efforts to address diversity, equity and inclusion in your organization and/or partnership and in your work.
Project Budget: Attach and briefly describe your proposed project budget, including other funding sources.
